Reader, Dolly Parton’s death made something painfully clear: being known is not the same as being remembered. She had a way of making the underdog feel like they belonged on her level. It did not matter how famous she became or how much success she experienced. Dolly never made everyday people feel small in her presence. She made them feel seen, and I believe that is one of the reasons her death has affected so many people. When I heard the news, my first thought was, “Another icon and genuinely good human has left this world.” People will remember her music, but the grief we are seeing is about more than her songs. People are mourning how she made them feel. That is the lesson I wish more practice owners understood. You can spend the entire month talking about filler, facials, lasers, and hormone treatments, but most people will not remember every service you mentioned. They may not even remember the special you promoted last week. They will remember the provider who made them feel comfortable after years of hiding an insecurity. They will remember walking into a consultation feeling nervous and leaving relieved because someone finally listened without judging them. This is why I encourage my clients to NOT make every piece of content about treatments. Your patients are human. They want to recognize themselves in your stories and feel understood before they ever step inside your practice. That emotional connection is what keeps you top of mind. A potential patient may not be ready to choose a provider the first time they discover you online. She may watch quietly for months while she considers the treatment, saves for it, or waits until the timing feels right. When she is finally ready to book, she will NOT automatically choose the practice that posted the most treatment graphics. She will choose the practice that already made her feel understood. Your content should do more than remind people what you offer. It should give them a reason to remember who you are. If you want your practice to become the one patients think of first when they are ready, apply for "The Takeover" below. Apply Here XOxO, Cheri Cobb Patient Acquisition Partner www.CheriCobbCreative.com |
I help established aesthetic practice owners scale with creative marketing strategies.
If your schedule has felt a little lighter than usual lately, your first reaction might be to run a special, lower your prices, or throw together a last-minute promotion. Before you do that, watch this video. I break down practical things practices can do to generate appointments during slower periods without immediately reaching for discounts. These are the same types of strategies I look at when working with providers because a slow schedule is usually a visibility, follow-up, or patient...
“I swear if one more person questions my pricing after everything I’ve invested into this practice, I’m going to lose it.” That’s how the call started. Not “Hi Cheri.” Not “How are you?” 🫣🤣 Just immediate frustration from a talented provider who was completely burnt out from attracting the wrong type of patients over and over again. And honestly? I understood exactly what she meant. From the outside, her practice looked successful. She was posting consistently, staying active online, running...
